Looked over a Tesla last week. Great looking car but both of these are well out of my price range. I can replace either the JSW or Golf 4 to 5 times for what these things cost. Although, I like the idea of being able to go almost 900 miles before refueling vs 350 (from the Tesla owner I met). So, if I win the lottery and have nothing else to spend my money on, I'll get the A8L and a driver.
Get a BMW 328d, sporty car awesome milage. Im getting better mpg's than with my ex 2012 golf tdi. If you want more size and power get the awesome 535d.

I could never understand the big deal over how far one could travel on a tank of fuel, I'll still be stopping after so many miles for a pit stop. ;)
My first car, a 78 Toyota Sport Truck, and I were perfectly matched for long distance driving - bladder capacity = range of the truck. All we had to do was find a 7-11, fuel for him and a little off-loading and a 44 ounce soda (aka, Super Big Pee) for me.;)
