Asz to bkd, fresh post!!!

New member here never had the need to post but here goes....

I have a mk4 gold originally asz130

headgasket went and it’s evolved into this.

I bored my asz block out to 2.0 and fitted 2.0 pistons and rods and crank and machined my 1.9 pick up wheel onto the crank.

fitted bkd head fiard 120 percent 2260 made my own manifold etc etc

car is finished and does start after a bit of cranking which I have put down to it still been on the bkd cam wheel so in the process of swapping that for the asz one now.

I now require some ecu tuning to make the ecu run the bkd injectors more efficiently as it sounds a bit knocky when started. Also I have no throttle response, don’t know if that’s to the cam sensor also?

Why did you change the crankshaft ? Was the asz one broken because the pistons would of fitted straight on to the asz conrods.

Ok fair enough, so do you have any fault codes in the ECU ? Lack of throttle could be software related, did you try with the original asz software ?
