Are Golf and Jetta OE muffler interchangeable?

Having a hard time finding my answer. Hoping someone in here has an answer.

Was wondering if the Golf and Jetta factory muffler with the turndown tips are interchangeable. Thanks!

Let me expand the question, are the exhaust systems interchangeable? I have means to build a custom one, but need the original to measure and feed data to the CNC mandrel bender. I'd rather not take the car out of service for so long...

they are different. i ran into this when i was looking for a new exhaust for my jetta.
