You mean the errors were caused by cold air intake?
It has happened before. The best way to tell would be to put the stock cold air intake back on and clear the fault codes (they all say "intermittent") and then see if they come back. If they do come back, it's not the intake. If they don't come back, it could be your intake. If you want you could try putting it back on again - if the faults come back, you know for sure what the cause is.

I haven't installed cold air intake yet, so I guess it is not the reason. ><

Yep, that's correct. Since all of the fault codes say "intermittent", I would recommend clearing them and then going for a drive. If they come back, you need to look further into them. If they don't come back, I wouldn't worry about it.

That's what I thought. My guessing is, since the APR upgrade, of course there is a difference comparing now and then, therefor these error codes show up. I will clear them and recheck. How about ABS?

Again, it's intermittent. Check tire pressure in all tires, then clear the fault and see what happens.

Is there a TPMS reset button in the Passat? In Jettas, it is in the glove compartment. If so - after making sure all tire pressures are correct, press this button for a second or two to reset the system.

Remember, tire pressures should be checked cold (before you start driving around).

I'll second the recommendation to clear the codes and see what comes back. If the torque difference codes come back again, you should speak with your tuner.

Any update on the codes/tune?
I'm considering the APR as well.
Why did you not go Rocketchip?
Thx
As far as I've read, APR is still having some difficulties with tune. Some guy on the Mk6 jetta section took off his tune because of it.

That is correct, still seeing reports of issues. Malone and Rocketchip are your current options.

I don't have the tune but am interested if I can get dealer backing on it?? It is now OBDII tunable so no more taking out the ECU... they just flash the tune onto the car through the OBD port under the dash. Should be wham bam type of deal.

Dealer backing? What does that mean? VW approval? No way. Warranties are administered by Volkswagen, not dealerships... so if you do get "dealer backing," make sure you get in writing that they are picking up your factory warranty where VW leaves off.

the dealership i bought my car from sells TONS of APR parts and tunes. they even throw these big events where parts and tuns are discounted. they back warranty if tune is purchased through them.

however, there is a nasty writeup link floating around facebook regarding APR. i have not yet had time to read it but a lot of people i know who have been in the scene for several years are not very happy with them anymore. i loved their tune i had on my audi before doing turbo upgrade. after that i ended up with UM.

Nice to here Quattro. So you can walk in to your dealership up there and have them install an APR tune and not void any warranty??

Yea maybe I worded that wrong but I have read and heard that some dealerships actually include tunes from APR. This could be total BS but have heard plenty of times. I was thinking if anything went wrong nothing would be voided by your VW dealer since they partnered up with APR and their product. Can anyone reflect on this??

You guys can say what you want about dealer backing, but your factory warranty is provided through Volkswagen, not the dealership. As I said, if the dealership is offering a warranty on the tune, you need to get in writing that they will pick up where VW leaves off in the event of a warranty denial. This dealer warranty will also not transfer to any other Volkswagen dealer unless that is also expressly written.

I told to service adviser, but I know him since BMW dealer. Well he told it depends on VW AG, most cases they don't have problem to grand the warranty, unless the car modified too much like nitro, race car .....so. I betcha they scanned my ECU for oil cooler and recalls, and some electrical problems.

phlfly: Have you had any drivetrain issues that were covered by VWoA warranty?
So far not. As I said I had major leak at oil cooler so they kept car for two days. I would think they scanned my car and forward this info to VW AG. I told service adviser that I have some mods on my car, like it dropped and ECU re-written for more power, well he said ECU may be will not cover but rest of it should not have a problem. I even talked them about turbo warranty extension, if it would cover with mods he said it should not effect warranty, unless turbo was modified or connector. Well generally I understood if it's sealed as factory, it covers. So my ECU is more likely not covered under warranty.

phlfly: You have a very special relationship with your service adviser. This is not typical.

That said, until you have a drivetrain warranty issue, you still have no proof that VWoA will cover it, regardless of your service adviser's claim.

Bottom line: ANY performance modification of the ECU will void any drivetrain warranty claims. It only makes sense, doesn't it?
