I am planning on attending. This will be the first for me! Not sure how it all goes down. There are a few things I would like to get some help on... Are there vendors there to help with CEL codes? Also would like to check some basic settings for start up.

WTB: Drivers side radiator fan, battery box, skid plate, and short shift kit.......

Thanks
John
Hi John,

From experience building and selling short shift kits, having them on my cars and finding out the effects, I recommend against them. The shift tower bearings don't handle short shifters very well and the synchronizers don't like them either. They simply lead to early failure of various components of the transmission. Rebuilding one of these transmissions is not economically feasible. You simply replace them with a used one, but they are getting really hard to find with reasonable mileage on them.

We look forward to seeing you at the GTG.

I don't mind doing injectors on a cool engine. Find me. Just understand I have NO capability to balance them.

As for the timing belt, perhaps someone coming would take it on for a few $$$

As Bruce has said we or he can do the nozzles. We have an injector Pop Tester and can swap the nozzles around and existing washers around to get them balanced faily well. Usually that process can get them really close. As for the TB change, Daniel and I will not be taking that on. We swore off that at GTG's long ago. If you could arrange to be there on Thursday, Daniel might be able to do it for you then, for profit of course!:D Send him a PM or email him if you are interested. I have been in Germany for 3 weeks and don't get home till this Saturday evening. I have no idea what his work schedule is.

Don't get too drunk the night before and you can go to both. Euro in the morning and TDI in the afternoon. Make it into a wonderful day.

I had hoped to get everything done to my Jetta but geeeee whiz, the 20th is coming fast. My business (Heating and Cooling) drops off in August but it's picked back up and I'm back to 10+ hour days again. If I come it's going to be without the new TB installed. (I wouldn't attempt to do a TB at at GTG.)

I have a Vag-Tacho (in my desk I have a '98 Beetle key). Anyone need a usable banjo key?

I've been dragging it out for too long. I have power front seats I would like to try to wire up, but not sure how long it would take..I need to review the how-to's on it. I think I'll just run power, that's it. I just don't want to take the entire day to get it done at the GTG. I will have all of the information on it printed out, but electrical is my weakness.

Sadly I'm not going to make this one. Family obligations will keep me here late this week and on the weekend. Bummer.

Sadly, none anymore
For those that were wanting a rocketchip, Jeff is not going to make it this time as previously planned. I apologize for any inconvience that this may cause for those who have planned to come specifically for his tuning services.
This is a bummer. Oh well, I'll still be there and looking forward to seeing some folks that I haven't seen in a while!
