Anyone install a back-up camera to rearview mirror?

I'm toying with the idea of installing a rear back-up camera in wife's Jetta. She has a habit of hitting expensive things backing out of the garage (Ex. my Infiniti G35 Coupe). Only problems are (1) our head unit does not have navigation and (2) I'm cheap. I've read through other posts here and poked around ebay and found back-up cameras for pretty cheap (<$20) and I've found Gentex rearview mirrors with the auto-dimmer (that she wants), Homelink (that she wants), and LCD (which I want her to have). But I haven't read on here where anybody successfully put all the pieces together. Anyone tackle this one?

Thanks.

Other than an input for the camera, how does the Chinese RCD510 differ from the US OEM non-nav head unit? Any loss of functionality or compatibility (bluetooth, etc)?

Base 2015 Jetta has the RCD-510 headunit, backup cam and NO nav. Nav isn't required to have a backup cam work.

Bluetooth etc is also included. Sounds like the way to go. Although if you manage to get a backup cam displaying on the rearview mirror I want to see pics :)

They lack SiriusXM. I have zero 1st hand experience with them, but others have had mild success.

Since my '14 has the Non-SiriusXM RCD310, I'd still consider one.
