Looking for nozzles. I have been looking and it appears I have to get them out of the states. Anywhere else I can get some for a better price? Or possibly some used ones.

There is a place in Poland that others have purchased nozzles from and have had a good experience. I forget the name but I am sure someone else will chime in. Keep googling on Tdiclub. Lots of options out there.

Maybe talk to your local VW shops? I think there’s a couple of German performance places around Calgary, maybe they would be able to source a set for ya.

I did. Concept1 can’t order them anymore. I asked the guy and he didn’t know of anyone else that did.

Yep - I'm one of the ones who ordered from performancetdi.com. Genuine Wuzetem nozzles mounted on refurbed and calibrated injector bodies.
Have worked great.

I recently bought some ENGITECH nozzles which were good value. I haven't used them yet, but they are supposed to be good

I would try Darkside developments sets if I could go back. If people had luck at performance TDI then they may be ok, pretty sure the owner of that place sells his turbos/advertises on Kijiji

I'll be selling some used Gibonta .240's if you're interested. I just placed an order tonight for .260 Wueztem from Cascade German. Decided I want to have both 2002 Golfs to be nearly identical, save for a few things.

The Gibontas maybe have 1-2K on them, if that.

Been tempted to try a set in the past from Darkside? Not many sources
I don't have any complaints on the Gibontas I got, but I'm very happy with the .260's I have in DSEL. So much, I sent another set of injectors and new .260's to the shop I use to get them on DSOL.

That said, @CanadianALH , I might have my slightly used injectors + .230 nozzles for sale soon, but not sure if that's too much power for your setup.
They're also the 2003 plug style (converted my whole fleet to use them), so I'd have to find you (or whomever buys it) a 2003-style male plug. Pretty easy to switch out with a depinning tool.

I will keep it in mind. I decided to go with a Malone stage 1 that is getting installed today. I will see if that gives me the jam I am missing. Down the road for sure I’ll need nozzles. But I got such a killer deal on the tune I had to get it. $260US installed with dynamic EGR and such.

Too expensive for me. $49 MPPS cable, my existing laptop and a tune from @burpod. Totally blows a Malone Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 away, since they're pretty much the same tune.

If I ever go big turbo and nozzles it will be burpod doing it for me. We chatted back and forth, he is very knowledgeable and just a nice guy. I would encourage anyone to give him a shout before you go with anything else. This was just something easy and it was a really nice local guy who helped me. I would encourage anyone to get a tune. Night and day differance and totally worth it.

Totally agreed. My biggest complaint with Malone was when I was lied to, multiple times. Little things really, but still. Told I had a MAF-less tune, but I didn't. Sent a new tune, still had MAF enabled, until they realized their mistake. And when you specify mods, like IP size and injector nozzle size, nothing is truly taken into consideration, because your tune is exactly the same as the guy with .280s, or the guy with .205s. And if you want a custom tune, they ask for the simplest of logs when the car is hauling ass. I don't usually keep my foot into it in daily driving, especially with diesel going up the way it is.

make sure you take some boost logs, you absolutely can't trust any tune/car to just be "right" without taking some healthy logs (011 at the least). it's easy to be led to believe this isn't necessary. for a tame stock setup, shouldn't ever see any boost spikes/overboost >100mbar at the very most (imo) and as long as you don't beat on it like crazy, a good tune/healthy car should net you a noticeable mpg increase. for similar "normal daily driving" as you'd do before, i would hope to see a 10% increase, hopefully better. like 45mpg to 50mpg without any really trying for it. of course, not all cars/tunes/setups for whatever reason don't always cooperate, but it certainly shouldn't decrease, even if taking advantage of the de-limited fueling...

I will look at my boost. Before the tune my MAP was maxing out at 32psi. I don't have any way to look at my 011. I'll make sure I'm not getting over that. I understand that thats what it can spike to under pulls. When I was just rolling around it was that 28 psi mark I believe.

the mbar values in the log data are absolute, so for most people thats roughly -1000mbar to get relative pressure aka boost :) ~22psi is about the max the stock map sensor reads, sometimes you can see it get pegged at 2540mbar or so and that means the boost likely could be higher than that... were you to have an actual mechanical gauge

I have a digital one on blue driver. When the car is off it reads the ambiant so when the car is running I get that plus boost. I'll look at mbar ones in a bit and post the highest number I get. It is the best I can do is the MAP on this app.
