Anyone in Atl who fixes TDI\'s? Glow plug light...

A previous question about my glow plug light was answered here that it sounds like I have a faulty brake light switch. I'm hoping to find someone in Atlanta who works on TDI's. I am a car moron but my dealer acts like they've never heard of this problem. I just trying to find somewhere besides the dealer to get my car fixed. Thanks for any suggestions.

Peachie, there's an open recall (NHTSA) on the brake light switch. (Stay away from Jim Ellis !! go elsewhere.)

if you want to do the switch yourself, the cost is around $14.

I've submitted my receipt for $14 to VWoA for reimbursement and have completely bypassed the dealer.

Yes, Jim Ellis is where I've been taking it and who didn't know what I was talking about. They said that the part is NOT under recall for my year and model (2002 Jetta). I know I can't fix it. So I'm hoping to find someone here who can help.

If you can't get help from Yuri's guy and must go to a dealer, I had better luck with Dwight Harrison VW.

Mr.Lees garage in Marietta is a very top notch place. Probably the cleanest shop I've ever seen. His wifes runs the front desk and I bet knows more about cars than 50% of the guys on this website.

Just about 1 mile from the VW dealership and near the Wal_mart
