If i lock my car with either the remote or kessy it will honk like 5 or 10 minutes later like its locking again?

Is mine wacky or do they all do it.

i dunno what to say....open all doors and windows, then completely shut them, lock doors as you usually do and wait.....

is your fob in your pocket, and are you pocket dialing your car?

Glad I don't have Kessy in my TDI!!!

My 09 does not do this???
What???? First off this has nothing to do with KESSY, and also you dont know what you are missing! I wish my house had KESSY too! its so much easier to use. Its the best thing VW has done in a long time!

As for the OP, your car thinks something is not closed i guess and re arms itself after 20min. it could also be that something is still using the power and maybe just disconnects that.

My car is parked in my driveway and i would hear if it made a noise. Once i lock it, it makes the beeping noise and thats it, no more unless i unlock/lock again.

i have noticed that if i unlock it with the FOB then if i dont open the door like 45 seconds later, it honks and locks itself again.

probably to avoid accidental unlocking with the fob in the pocket, then having the owner walk away with their car unlocked

Mine did what you were describing when I was in the wandwash washing my car. It would honk and lock randomly as I was going around washing my car.

im wondering if my scanguage is doing it.
ahhh there you go! Most cars these days have battery run down protection. So if the car notices its using battery then it will shut the power off after 20min and i guess it re-arms itself. This also explains why you were wondering why your scangauge always resets itself!

Yah i thought so mo thanks alot. Oh and to the kessy basher up there ha lol dont hate cuz you dont have it. Kessy is one of the best features of any car ive seen i love it. I like mo would install it on my house if i could, nothing beats never needing to remove your key from your pocket.

Hey, is that MPG accurate US MPG? Two fill ups and 45 MPG? I'm at two and only at 34.7 MPG.

I'm not a fan of KESSY. Not one to jump on the gizmo bandwagon.
Given a choice between a new 1997 Jetta and a new 2011 Jetta I prefer the '97.

Not bashing you for liking it, it is just not for me.

For the person who asked about KESSY http://www.volkswagen.com/vwcms/mas...chnical_glossary/kessy_locking_and.index.html

I really dont see how you can say you dont like kessy when you dont own it....Do you like power steering? Well its a gizmo and kessy is no different once you have it you wont want it removed.
