Hey guys,

As the title states, is there any reason why I can't run a 2.5" cat-back advertised for a 2009-2010 Jetta TDI on my 2006 Jetta? I'm assuming it's the same, but if anyone knows anything about why it wouldn't be, please enlighten me.

Thanks!! Happy thanksgiving!

The 2009-on has emissions equipment extending a lot further back underneath the car, so you might need a length of pipe to make up the difference. I have no idea if the flange at the back of the 2006 oxidizing catalyst matches the flange on the back of the 2009-on H2S catalyst. None of this is rocket science to make it work, it might need some welding and a bit of mix and match with the original exhaust system.
