I hope vgr wasn't alone last month! I was busy with school work so I couldn't make it, however I'll be sure to next month. I still don't have a TDI, but I did get a VW, so I'll bring that.

thx, just picked it up a couple weeks ago, its an 11. Im in mesa. Starting to see a lot of TDIs around, but they dont seem like the forum kinda guys so far.

On Tuesdays, burgers, BEER, etc..., WHERE/WHAT time?
Eventhough my B4 is operating like a 1.5 from a "caddy"(when there was NO turbo), it will take me places. Beer is always good for an excuse and some solace from this malady!

See post #72 for the where. It is a bar, so not the nicest atmoshere, but the burgers are great! Might be a long drive from Colorado though!

QT @ priceRd and southern off of 101 sells up to 5% bio, that's what the sticker on pump stated so i ask clerk, who didn't knew any thing about it.
hey guys, brand new TDI/Volkswagan guy here. I come from a fabrication/off road racing back round. I also used to be a pretty big Subie guy. I am excited to meet other TDI members. I live in the west vally, but wouldnt mind driving to the pavillions for a meet. I go up there from time to time anyways, as i have a rat rod willys jeep that i built and love to drive. Currently i am reworking the front end of the rat rod to a modern crown vic IFS set up to better control the (hopfully) 700+ HP twin turbo lm7 i am also in the process of building. So the rat rod is going to be down for a few months. Any who. My name is Chris by the way.

Thanks. I think I just might.lol. I am looking into doing a dpf/cat delete, but don't want to have to pull the ecu to have it chipped. Car only has 600 miles on it, so don't want to void the warranty so soon. I don't care if I gain any power, I just want to improve the mileage an want to be able to roll coal! Lol

Rolling coal is over rated. Usually means an old school diesel is over fuelled. Ask me how I know. ;-)

I don't think it's overrated.lol. that's pretty much the only reason I bought this jetta. If I wanted a boring, slow, eco-box, I would have bought a civic or something like it. I wanted something that would give me a little laugh when I smoke out a prius.lol. I used to love driving my pop's truck around. He's got an 06 crew cab dodge lifted on 35" tires, runs a low 14sec quarter mile and gets just shy of 26 mpg. All this while still ****ing smoke on every single prius in sight. As you can tell I hate the prius and every Hippocratic thing it stands for! ( I should probably see a shrink for this.)rofl

Every Sunday night we hang out starting about 8ish at Southern and Mclintock in Tempe, it is a VW crowd with a few TDI's and my BMW diesel, check it out sometime if interested PM me for more info...southwest corner behine the Osco or walgreens drug store cant remember which one it is since im on drugs...

Very glad I stumbled upon this thread! Will be moving to Phoenix in the next month, assuming current home sale goes as planned, and want to get connected with other VW TDI fans!
Do any of the Phoenix TDI folks have interest in TDI work days? I have a MKIV Golf TDI and will soon 'need' to accomplish some maintenance in addition to understanding the difference(s) of running a TDI in the desert.
We will be calling the area of Ahwatukee home...

New to AZ, just like is see a few of you are. I've got some work I need done to my car before I register it- right now my egr is blocked of, and my understanding is that I need to do emissions check here. Anyone know of any good shops around here? It's not really something I feel like tackling right now with still unpacking and having to go back to work. I live in chandler, but will drive anywhere in the valley. Thanks!

They haven't dinged my EGR / EGR cooler delete. If you have a cat and don't smoke like a chimney you'll be fine.
The smog test is a visual inspection and an opacity test while cruising at around 35mph on the chassis dyno.

My CEL is always on, I'd have to get a tune for the delete. I guess it's worth a shot getting the tune- it'll be more fun to drive and cheaper than a cooler.
