My 2015 Jetta TDI Se with about 78,000 miles, just a day after getting its 80k service done with new bushings met it's official end today (a week after the initial accident)after being declared a total loss. It was struck last Tuesday by a driver who failed to stop at a 4 way driving a Porsche SUV. Needless to say I tried to hit the brakes, but it resulted in him hitting the front fender, leaving the doors intact. His airbags were deployed.
Fortunately a $38 dash cam caught the event, savings me lots of grief as the other driver proclaimed that I was at fault.
Might never drive without a dash cam again.
Good luck all.
Sure I was given the option to buy it back, try to fix it, but with the pipes, tubes and extra complexity of the 2015 I decided it was best to take the $$
