Just got in a shipment of new Valeo starters. I've got mk4 5 speed, mk4 6 speed and b5.5 Passat TDI starters. They're more powerful than the Bosch versions which works especially well for the winter time.
$184 plus shipping for either of them. Limited supply on them.

Ok, I have a NOS VW one thats a Bosch, which would be a good option, but it isn't the Valeo. Also have ones ai have remanufactured.

New product offering: 220 amp alternator custom made for mk4 and B5 cars. I build these from a 220 amp alternator from an Audi q7, Touareg and etc, I completely rebuild the alternator with new OEM parts and then install a new Valeo regulator for the mk4/B5 cars which converts it from a LIN based regulator to an ignition activated regulator. $425 plus shipping and it includes a new 2 gauge alternator cable.

Thought for sure that I was going to need one and I might still. Load tested my battery and it drops like a rock.

I've been having longer crank times. A new battery may not totally solve that issue.

Yes, that's correct. I rebuild them using all oem or oem quality parts. The regulator and rectifier is always oem, as is the pulley. The bearings are NTN or NSK.

A lot of the newer Valeo ones have gone to that style..it makes it where they can have a more compact starter while being more powerful.

220 amp alternator for mk3-mk6 cars. Plug and play, though some models may need slight fitment modifications. Includes clutch pulley. $395 plus C&S

New offering! This may look like a stock clutch pulley for the Volkswagen cars, but its different. This pulley has the m14x1.5 thread pitch used by many of the high amp alternator builders. Those alternator builders don't supply clutch pulleys with their alternators and so often when installed on a TDI they cause the tensioner and serpentine belt to fail rapidly. This fits on the Denso hairpin based alternators built by companies such as brand-x, JS alternators and others.
