So I’ve changed my brakes and pads roughly 2 months ago.
2 weeks ago I took my car into a garage to get a brake fluid change.
Last week, the Amber brake pad light came on, and upon inspection, I find that the brake pad sensor is damaged, hence the brake pad light. I’m unsure whether it was the garage that damaged the sensor, or if it’s just wear and tear

My MOT expires in 3 weeks, and I’ve booked it in for an MOT tomorrow.

My question is, will the Amber brake pad light be an MOT failure, even if the pads and discs are near enough brand new (~1000miles)?

I think the cure here is to connect the two wires together that go to the pad to turn out the light. If you think it has to look intact for your inspection tape it up so it looks complete to the pad.
