I’m planning on upgrading the turbo from the stock 15 to something that will give me a little more boost. As of right now I have pp764 nozzles, old man intake, kerma tune and custom 3 inch turbo back side exit exhaust. Next steps are upgrading the clutch, 5 gear ratio, heads studs and hopefully a 11mm pump. Now my plan is out there I can’t figure out what turbo I like. I want to keep as much of the turbo psss choos 😂the 15 has, from videos it seems like the 17s are pretty quite. What are my options or am I stuck with pushing the 15 to the max?

I recently just went from the stock 15 to the 17. I have the vnt17, pp520 nozzles (balanced via kerma), 11mm pump, and stage 4 malone tune to name the basics. I personally feel like the vnt17 makes more noise, it sounds like a rocket ship on acceleration. Mind you I have a full straight pipe and aluminum lower boost pipe. I really like my VNT17 (bought from kerma), it lags a little more than the 15 but it pulls harder at higher revs and feels more linear compared to the 15. If you're just worried about noise, the vnt17 makes a little less at idle; less looney tunes noise than the 15, I'm guessing because it doesn't build as much boost at lower RPM like the 15, but more during higher rpm shifts (2600-2800 rpm shifts sound like a rally car). I say make the switch! You won't regret it.

ok looks like a 17 is about to get ordered. I just redone my exhaust from turbo back with 304 14ga pipe that I got from work. I’ll have to say that the little 15 is screaming loud now I’m guessing due to the think wall pipe. So a 17 should sounds pretty good per higher revs. It’s hard to beat a work car that is fun to drive!
