If by proper scan, you mean vcds, then yes I have and the codes are in the original post....don't seem to be anything that would cause a no start though. I guess the question is, do I just buy a pump, and also, who has one for me for a good price?

>a P0228 (Throttle pedal position sensor) signal too high-intermittent
>a P1540 (Vehicle Speed Signal) -signal too high
See these two codes?
Hear me out, on your crank position sensor test the resistance over 2 pins and move the wire around if the resistance fluctuates you need a new sensor. Check the connections to your throttle position sensor for damaged connections too. Before you go buying a pump, going and replacing parts is not how you learn/diagnose or figure out your problem. Five steps verify the complaint/problem, gather information, find most likely solution based on findings, made your fix, test your solution. Good luck anyone on here can help but I need more information to make myself useful.

Gonna check in a bit, but would this cause it not to fuel at all?

Really need to just backtrack and start with the basics:

It's quite possible that the codes are tripped as a result of some messed up wiring. Again, a reminder to folks that the wiring is becoming more brittle/fragile and will become increasingly more complicit in creating odd/troublesome problems.

If you're confident that you couldn't have somehow placed unusual (not typical) stress on a wiring harness then you can dismiss.

Good luck!

I agree. So many hours have been burnt troubleshooting something because we get tunnel vision and think that it'ts Gotta be one thing, but it turns out to be a coincidence that something completely different failed.
