Alarm LED diagnostics?

Hello all,

Noticed something odd with my car the other day.. when I arm the alarm the indicator LED in the door flashes 7 times very quickly, then goes to the normal flash. I was assuming this was some sort of trouble code, but can't find any info on it. All doors/hood/trunk/windows closed, nothing stored in VCDS. All other door/lock/light functions are normal.. nothing like what people are seeing with door harness problems.

I'm trying to make SURE, but it also seems like my car has been unlocking itself in the driveway overnight sporatically.


Any thoughts?

I think it's normal, mine (2006) does the same. I also have VCDS, no codes stored. If something would be wrong, I assume VCDS would say something.
