Well, I live out in cottondale currently, but the car spends most of its time (when it is working) parked at the Rec Center's back parking lots (I work at UAOR) because once I'm in town a heavy portion of my transportation is via bike. With the yakima rack thats on it, it is hard to miss me. I'll keep an eye out. Had any luck with biodiesel around?

I'm pleased to report that Stokley's Service Center in Mobile did an outstanding job on my '03 Jetta TDI! It did turn out that the alternator pulley/clutch assy was broken, but with 99K on the car, Perry Stokley and I decided it would be wise to replace the alternator (which also comes with a new pulley assy). I am very pleased with the work that Perry did and I felt that the price was reasonable... certainly less expensive than any of the local dealerships. So, if you live around the Mobile area, don't hesitate to take your car to Stokley's for repair. Perry and Carlene Stokley are very nice people and run a first class repair shop! That's where I'll be taking mine from now on.

Haven't been here since I got so discouraged with my beetle. They put in the new tranny and then sent it to a dealership to be checked out and it had a carbon build up. It's running like a dream now. Well, up until my blue engine coolant light started flashing this afternoon. I let the engine cool down and added some coolant to the fill line and drove it a bit and the light hasn't started flashign again. How sensitive is the coolant level sensor? The coolant container is a yellowish color which makes me wonder if it's been getting G12 or regular coolant. Should I just go ahead and replace the coolant container??

Anybody in Bham area or Shelby County? I'm in Chelsea.

Hey all you guys and gals from west of us in Alabama, think about a short road trip over here for the April GTG. It would be great to meet you all and get you involved with us. Check out the April 27th GTG and put it on your calendars.
