Good morning folks!

2015 Jetta TDI Comfortline equipped with RCD510, Steering Wheel controls, Sirius built-in, Backup Camera and console MDI.

Used the following:
-Maestro RR
-iDatalink HRN-RR-VW1 Interface Harness
-Sirius SXV300V1
-DoubleApex Dual USB Ports. Configuration 1 Charger/1 Passthrough
-Enfig AAA-VWAUD5
-Enfig SAA-SIR-20
-Enfig PNP-KEN0016 (Was unnecessary with a Maestro Harness and will seek to refund it)
-Scosche VW2317AB Dash Kit
-High Quality 26 PIN RGB to CVBS (RCA) Converter for Volkswagen Facotry Camera VW Original Camera RCD510/RNS510/RNS315 etc
-Kenwood DDX5902

So here's something that caused issues and both wiring diagrams call it different things but I believe that they're the same.

Kenwood supplied harness has a "Red (Ignition Wire)" and "Yellow (Battery Wire)".

Naturally we attached the Maestro RR VW1 harness with "Yellow - 12V (+)" to that same yellow on the Kenwood and "Red - Accessory (+)" to corresponding Red on the Kenwood.

The deck wouldn't show anything on it's screen making it seem like it wasn't powering up and just showed a flashing red triangle until we did the following:

-Snip the Red from Maestro Harness because it's not going to be used. Attach the Kenwood Yellow and Red to the Maestro Yellow and voila! I'm not sure why this fixed it and wonder if someone can shine further light on it if they might know why that might be otherwise it seems good now and powers off/on exactly like the OE deck did.

How's the deck?
I'm impressed! Factory speakers sound just as good as they did before. It all works as it did before including in-car Bluetooth and Climate Monitor with the added functionality of OBD monitoring. I was wondering about simply splicing into the back of the OBD harness on the car itself so the plug isn't taken up but not sure if that could cause anything unwanted. It's just two wires.

Post-Install notes: Went fuse chasing and somehow lost the automatic power windows on driver-side. It used to be you could tap the window function once and it'd go up/down by itself. Now you have to hold it. Also, for fellow 2015 owners your factory manual has no fuse diagrams! First vehicle I've ever had that with, not even anything on the panel.

For fuse panel diagrams, you can search the How to smorgasbord in this board.

To fix your auto up/down windows. Hold the windows in the up position for the count of 3-5 seconds. If it is quiet you will hear a "click" in the door. Once that is done it will start to work again.

Pictures of the setup would be awesome. Will look into this Maestro Box. So the Car's bluetooth is working and not using the internal bluetooth from the radio?

Thanks

torrimac: Power Windows work the way they should now thanks!

joeelmex: Internal Radio BT mic is attached to Kenwood deck via Maestro and have no reason to mount Kenwood's supplied mic so far. I would take pictures of the wiring but it'd be very embarrassing there's so much wires it looks very much like something you wouldn't want to see necessarily rather than use an example of what not to do.

UPDATE: Couldn't keep using that yellow one because it meant the deck stayed on even when walking away and locking the vehicle, switched back to the red accessory cable and this time it all works the way it should! Picked up an el-cheapo $7 multimeter to confirm red was working the way accessory power should.

Also read that if the OBD is patched through for example in the wiring behind the port it can prevent other devices when attached from communicating even if the deck is set to "Disable OBD" so just going to leave it plugged in as-is without getting fancy.

One more note, the gauges won't work if the deck is set to use anything other than the default Engine Type. Even though it's a 2.0 TDI had to leave it as 1.8 TSi or something, it doesn't affect the gauge readings anyway.

That looks awesome great work. Thinkint I should try this on my 2012 Jetta. Do you know if you have a factory amp under the driver side seat? It's was part of the Fender Audio System.

Thanks! I find that the USB switches are especially useful up front with one attached to the deck on far right and the inner-most port direct to power. That power port almost gives one reason to put away their inverter unless there's a need for 2-pronged devices.

The Canadian Comfortline model comes without an amp so didn't need to hunt for an adapter or something to keep that going. Shopped a newer shallow 10" sub, enclosure with mono amp from Crutchfield and that begins to creep into $800 territory after shipping, customs, duties and taxes in Canada so there's no hurry to add one in at the cost of usable trunkspace in addition to all that.
