Additional CCM coding and configurations with VDS Pro

So, care to share any coding / configuration differences that you may know of between Golf (mechanical release), Jetta (electric release - which you said can be remote released), and B5.5 Passat wagon (which VW didn't grant remote release to)?

I'm not asking anybody to plow thru the numbers for me - I just need a few CCM dumps to compare against (not unlike what Miguel was looking for in the earlier days of this thread.)

Not to sound brusque, but...
"It can't be changed" is what I was told last winter, when I inquired (elsewhere, Passat community) about the tailgate "logic" (the always-locked gate that we got in NA.)
That's been proven incorrect - I changed it on mine. So, looking to figure out (not necessarily be told) how to do this.

Like I told you it is not possible to make Wagon Tail gate put out.
It has Door handle on back.

Jetta or Passat Sedan do not have Door handle. Go and find Jetta or Passat sedan and you will see what I am telling you.

I think only way to do this to modified and install mechanism form Sedan.

No, no it does not. B5.5 wagons have a fully electric tailgate release. Nothing back there but a microswitch to touch. The B5 was mechanical. I am absolutely certain of this - I've used it many, many times to open the damned tailgate.

Jetta or Passat Sedan do not have Door handle. Go and find Jetta or Passat sedan and you will see what I am telling you.

I think only way to do this to modified and install mechanism form Sedan.

That still wouldn't take care of the coding part.....

A thought that occurred to me - Euro Jetta (Bora, MkIV) unlocked the trunk but you had to open it with the micro switch, where as the NAR Jetta just popped open. That is probably a very good (best?) way to find exactly what bits are different for what you want.

But, what I need is CCM data to compare against. I don't have a Jetta to look at.

Hi guys i'm new to the forum but i have read all of this thread with big interest i have an issue with the CCM the previous owner fitted the car with 1C0959799A (i think this was not the original because the car didn't have T15 only T23 and T24) the radio module on it is somehow not working it does not accept remotes so i bought exactly the same module from car like mine(skoda octavia variant TDI) with working radio. The problem is that the donor car had electronic trunk lock and mine have mechanical so the new CCM doesn't lock and unlock the tailgate which values should i change in the CCM in order to have the lock/unlock signal to the tailgate?

sasch, I think that you're going to need to dump both CCMs, and compare the data between them.
Much, much earlier in the thread, Miguel did, at least, identify where in all of the code the main configuration registers are. So, that narrows down where to look.

Alternatively, dump both CCMs. Write your old CCM dump to the new one.

@cuppie i found the adresses to modify in one UK thread and copied them from the old CCM to the new and now it works perfectly also i bought key fob with three buttons(on octavia mk1 they come only with 2) and button for the trunk works as intented now i will continue to the next challenge to install the T15 connector because i didn't have one before so i bought it from local dealer but i'm still searching for the proper connections which should be made

Much earlier in the thread, Miguel (madelgado) had suggested to someone, on this subject, that changing 04361-04363 to 66 (binary 01 00 00 10) from 67 (bin. 01 00 00 11) would enable this (for reference, 194= 11 00 00 10). So, I tried it. Didn't help. Changed it back.

Another post (from Lucas) suggested that setting bit 1 in 04367-04369 to '0' would enable this. So, I checked there, and... decimal value of 34 = binary 00 10 00 10 (in other words, bit 1 is already at 0.)
Same post (post# 450), he said that setting 04361, bit 0, to 0 did the trick. So, back to Miguel's earlier post (port# 10), I again set 04361-04363 to 66, and... just like earlier, I cannot open the tailgate remotely. Can still open it when all doors are unlocked, can still open it on a locked car by holding the 'trunk' button on the remote and then pressing the tailgate pad (just like stock.)

I realized earlier today that I was reading the Matrix backwards, those months ago. My current 04367-04369, bit 1, is actually set to 1, not 0. So, that's on the list of "things to try."
I also have a note (not on me ATM) about bit 1 (I think it was) of 04361-04363 affecting tailgate / trunk / boot operation, too.
I may have a chance to play with this tomorrow, or maybe later in the week. Will expand on these thoughts after I've tried it.

Comically, that information is straight from post#450 in this very thread. I just either overlooked it, or mis-read it months ago, and forgot about it.
After this weekend's re-read of a lot of the thread, found that, and said "worth a try."

So, to put all of the B5.5 Passat wagon (NAR) bits in one single post....
04352-04354, change bit 6 from 0 to 1, and
04370-04372, change bit 1 from 1 to 0. These changes will give you a tailgate that is "unlocked" with the rear doors (just like a ROW B5.5 wagon.)

At all who have contributed on this, much thanks. Special thanks to Lucas, for that post from, oh, 6+ years ago with the last needed bits.

Now my hatch does not open with a trunk handle, and pops open when i lock the car. I can only open it as I press lock button on my remote and open it at the same time. Tried some VDS-PRO bit changing, but without success, except windows by remote mod. Could those bytes for passat b5.5 wagon be the same as golf wagon?

Honestly, I don't know what bits your Golf wagon shares with a Passat wagon.
My best suggestion would be to reinstall the original CCM, and dump it with EasyCCM. Then reinstall the new CCM, and dump that one.
Start comparing the dumps - I'm thinking that my hatch work should at least tell you where to look for the differences between the two.

Problem is, my previous CCM was without power windows, different plugs and wiring into CCM, so I can't connect it back and take the dump from the old one. I'm still trying to run EasyCCM, somehow it doesn't connect to my CCM. VDS-Pro runs fine

VDS-Pro can read data out in blocks of 10 - so, you could do it that way.
As for the old CCM: with that information... was it actually a CCM? Or, the more basic "power locks module"? I'm thinking it's the latter.... If it is, there isn't anything to read out of it, I think - just a fancy relay, really.

yes, sorry i named it wrong it was just a power lock module, part number 1C0 962 258N

04367-04369 was 255. Tried 191,253

Unfortunately that didn't help. It still the same, except the alarm horn is now gone, only blinkers left. horn on the steering wheel works ok.

Good news! Had a chance to read values from another golf wagons CCM with the same part number. Now the trunk works good, via remote also. Here are the values of the CCM if someone ever needs it. P.S. Thank you cuppie for your help

Glad you got it sorted out. If my values didn't work (and, that was a 'maybe'), finding a like vehicle to dump its CCM was going to be my next suggestion.

Hi,

Sorry for replying old topic, but I have curious case regarding that. I've ordered VFIZ (https://www.qmatis.com/en/devices/menu-vfiz/menu-vfiz-vw). I have immo3 cluster installed, but car is only immo2. Device mentioned above has build in CAN gateway to which I've connected CAN Convenience line from 1J0 CCM (it has CAN as well as 1C0 CCM, but not connected to cluster). All works excluding hood indicator. All door and trunk signals are sending by CAN line. Unfortunately we couldn't find hood sensor signal. It's for sure in car, because CCM measure blocks shows state.



Question to you:
- Is it possible to force IMMO3 cluster to read signal directly from input instead of CAN? I mean to change something in EEPROM dump and force it to work as in IMMO2 cluster.
- Do you know if 1C0 CCM sends hood signal by CAN? Do you know if 1J0 does it as well?
- Maybe you which frame should I look?

Hmm, didn't I just see this?

I believe you have to add the wire from CCM to the cluster. No signal is sent over CAN for that function. Uh, green connector on cluster, T22 I think?
