Hi all,
I am fairly new to the forum and VW as a whole. I picked up this US-Spec 2015 Jetta MK6 TDI SE w/ Connectivity Package. The vehicle has push-button start OEM from the factory, however it is very frustrating that the car does not have keyless entry. I need to remove the key from my pocket, hit the unlock button to get into the car. Very weird for a car that has push-button start to not have a proximity sensor to allow the door to unlock when the driver's handle is pulled.
Is it possible to add this to my vehicle? Does anyone know what is necessary? I assume an antenna and possibly a door handle (not sure if a different door handle is used in VWs, or just proximity antennas?)
I do have a VCDS Cable & the latest software from Ross Tech, as I am also in the process of converting from Halogen headlights to OEM BiXenon Headlights. Thats another story (what a time I have had trying to find the correct wiring diagrams for this 2015 Jetta and my OEM CECM, which is fully capable of BiXenons!) ... but I finally found it (erWin didn't even have it).
I'm pretty sure I have a KESSY module on this car (see AutoScan below), but assume I would need to have it in order to have remote start, so hoping this is a relatively easy mod, which would simply require a new driver's door handle, additional antennas, some wiring and possibly some VCDS coding
