I am looking into setting up a pigpickin to follow the dragstrip, I have a local caterer that is renowned for their porcine culinary talents, and will provide everything down to the paper products for $7.00 a head. I will request several vegetarian entries for our more gentle members,(my wife Kim, and ThinkDiesel ) The menu will include chicken, but they are unable to do Kosher, are there any dietary concerns that need to be accomodated? Any other vegetarians?

Anybody interested in having a tractor-pull with their TDI's?
I know they have the stuff to do it near the track, they conduct a tractor-pull event every year. Might be hard on the drivetrain but it would be a real measure of the cars performance, and make neat pictures for a magazine article about the TDI.

Make it three. I decided only this week-end to meet every one at this Get-Together. I will make reservations at the hotel later today (I hope), and ask for Friday off from my job.
(I eat meat sometimes, but for health reasons, I eat vegetarian-style on most days.)

I can probably kill a couple of wild boars out on my back 100 acres and bring them up for the B-B-Q, don't know if the Jetta can hold 1,500 lbs of wild boar though?

Tazz, welcome to the feast!!! Are you bringing some Moose burgers down from the Artic Circle?

It would be interesting for those who drive to the GTG to track their fuel cost.... Might make for an interesting number to publish....

Brilliant idea. We should get everyone to track km/miles traveled, litres/gallons used. We can then get our fleet fuel consumption and give some very impressive numbers.
