I had pulled out a pretty steep driveway and scraped the bumper pretty good and I’m pretty sure I broke my radiator support but after that my ac stopped and fans won’t kick on any wires that could’ve gotten damaged maybe?
String out some barb wire call in for artillery support , man up and crawl under the vehicle , and check for damage .If the vehicle has been compromised by pavement or aggregate repair as needed. Or check back with the Forum again for a second opinionI had pulled out a pretty steep driveway and scraped the bumper pretty good and I’m pretty sure I broke my radiator support but after that my ac stopped and fans won’t kick on any wires that could’ve gotten damaged maybe?
Check the fuses on top of the battery. The one to the far left is for the A/C fans.. Start the car turn the A/C on see if the fans are turning . Jiggle or replace the fuse. The fans should be on if the fuse is good . If not you may have other issues.I have crawled under but no signs of damage. My aux fan was out maybe the other one went out after I heard once one goes the other is prone too. the radiator support is for sure broken but I was just looking for some advice
Still nothing fuses are good no cold air and fans are showing no signs movement. so I’m guessing poor refrigerant pressure like you had said or something else because each wire harness and connections are fine. Would a photo from topside of my engine help?Check the fuses on top of the battery. The one to the far left is for the A/C fans.. Start the car turn the A/C on see if the fans are turning . Call in close air support if needed
probably stupid question but i don’t know much about a/c but if I don’t have enough Freon the fans etc won’t work? Of course it won’t blow cold air.Did you hook up gages and see if you still have Freon?

With key on, blower on, and AC on both fans should run at low speed even if there is no refrigerant at all. Low refrigerant will prevent compressor engagement but does not affect fans.probably stupid question but i don’t know much about a/c but if I don’t have enough Freon the fans etc won’t work? That's odd, my son's wagon has a bypass pulley instead of a compressor and his fans still run - but I haven't checked whether they stop once you start the engine.P2B, when I installed a new AC Compressor on my 03 Jetta in the late Spring of 2022, the Fans would not come On until there was minimum spec refrigerant pressure.
The compressor coil fuse is #16 on the panel by the driver's door. Pretty sure the compressor and fans are powered independently. It has been a while since I looked at the wiring schematics of the AC system for an A4. But, I am thinking there is only one set of contact points in the Fan Control Module (FCM) that provides power to both the Compressor and the Fans. That's, in part, why the one green 30amp fuse gets so hot.
