Why would my abs stop working after disconnecting my battery? I've never had a problem w/ it before, until yesterday. I disconnected my battery and next thing I knew that sensor tripped or rather something happened and now the ABS light is on the brake indicator flashes and I no longer have the "advantage" of ABS. Honestly I could care less... but winter time and all.

Any Ideas?

How far have you driven? When I disconnected my battery I had the ABS light on for a couple blocks while the car reset. If that isn't it you need something to read VW codes. VAG-COM or the like. Your local auto-parts store might have something that will work, but most will only be able to read OBDII and that won't help.

I had the same issue. Their are 3-5 conector (one of them is the juice for the ABS) on the top on the battery that wiggle loose. check if any are loose.
