Malfunction Indicator Light stay on. Has this been discussed before? Fuses are okay. Not crazy about just replacing the Hydraulic Pump.

A failed wheel sensor would be the most common cause, but there will be a code stored to point you in the right direction.

One code was P0351 which is the intermediate shaft speed sensor A, and I believe this is behind the oil filter. Cleared codes and re-drove the car.
Another code popped up, P0791 which says there is a faulty power train control module. Nothing about wheel sensors. I really need to find someone who has a vag com computer because the thought of just replacing this and that does not excite me. I just replaced all 9 selonoids.

There are just too many to list....
If the ABS light is on, ask the ABS module why. If it won't respond, ask the CAN Gateway if it has a DTC for no communication with the ABS.

OBD works, you need to start there... with a proper scan tool that actually speaks fluent Volkswagen, not some useless generic one.

So are you talking about a VCDS? Had two codes. PO791 which is a faulty power train control module and 00351 which is the intermediate shaft speed sensor A which commented that it had a sporadic or no signal. It has two speed sensors and not sure which one is "A". I know they are a pain to get to.
And need to make sure that the ATF is at the correct level. I have done a lot on this car but engine and transmission are beyond my pay grade. I recently replaced all 9 solenoids but took off the front of the care for better access. It's only held on by 4 bolts.

Ross-tech the VW code finial authority has no P0791 listed for a VW nor do they have a 00351. I'm not sure what code reader you have but it does not speak VW. You need a VCDS or another reader that speaks German.

What POS scanner are you using?
Had it scanned my a VCDS and there were two codes: 00351 intermediate shaft speed sensor (G265) and PO341 - camshaft position sensor (G40)
Also had to take off the crankshaft position sensor as clip crumbled in my hand. The two external sensors I can change. The crankshaft sensor uses a 12 point socket to get it out and had to find a neighbor who had these sockets. They are not sold anymore. Going to a local bolt place and replace this 12 point bolt. Have seen conflicting information about the G265 and on line resources say it's external. Going to the dealer for the parts department to weigh in on where it is. Then have been reading about some plate on the top of the transmission I can take off to access this sensor.
I am using the 4 6" bolts on the bumper so I can pull it out for better accessibility. When I replaced my solenoids I took off the front end completely.

And fixed the ABS light by completing the wiring circuit. I don't use the pads that you plug into this sensor. Light is now out.

OP, list your complete codes including freeze frame data from the autoscan since you clearly don't know how to decipher the information shown (or understand just how important it is) due to the fact that you're providing such limited information about your DTCs.

Scanned the printout, but don't know how to attach. I can email it to you?

When you quit wearing oversized big red shoes, tell us what you actually want help with.
I see that originally you started talking about ABS light, which was really a pad sensor issue....
Now I see you've started talking about your slushbox issues, which you haven't even mentioned that you're working on a 09A or anything like that.
And yet, you're still going on about a camshaft sensor, on an unmentioned engine (I can probably guess, but why bother if you don't want to give details)

Why would you have replaced all those solenoids?
The sensor you're looking for is NOT external.
Intermediate shaft speed sender G265 picks up a signal corresponding to the number of teeth on spur gear A at the torque output of planetary gears I and II.
