ABS Coding to Disable ESP

So, I made some handling mods to a 05 TDI golf for the upcoming autocross season. The problem is that the ESP has a weird reaction when it lifts a rear tire going into a hard corner. It makes all kinds of weird noises and a large clunk when this happens. I believe the clunk is from it locking up the wheel in mid-air in efforts to keep the car under control. I've pulled the fuse and the car is completely quiet doing the same manuver. The second problem is that pulling the fuse throws 3 idiot lights and disables ABS. Which I want to keep that part of the system. Using the VAG-COM you can go under the ABS tab and enter different software codding to detune some of these features per say. I contacted VAG-COM and they did not know the code I could use to disable the ESP. They mentioned that this was a complaint they had from other racer types. Does anybody know a work around or have some non-esp codes that I could enter to try. BTY, simply hitting the ESP button only disables the ASR part of the system:)

Procedures with VAG-COM:
Open the ABS Controller.
Make note of the soft code value (for example 0021505 for ABS/ASR/EDL).
Select Recode.
Enter 0004097 for ABS only.
Select Do it!.
0004097 should now show in the soft code block.
Close controller.
If you ever want to go back, follow the same procedure, entering the original value (e.g., 0021505).

0004097 does not work the controller will not except it. I had hoped it was that easy but it's not. I think that one worked in older cars though

Maybe try coding "0018945" to enable ABS & ASR and then use the ESP switch to defeat the ASR?
That code gets rejected too. I have been able to get it to accept a new code before (0000000) so it doesn't reject everything.

hiepriest, I'll step up here and help you out. Let's just swap parts with my 03 Golf that never had ESP (I already got the ESP button, just waiting to scrounge the rest of the parts to make the swap lol). That way you don't have to worry about it anymore! I'll even pay for shipping both ways for the swap.

Thanks for the offer but I just want to be able to turn if off at the track otherwise I like it. My newest idea is if I can't do it via Vag Com I'll just find that pesky YAW sensor and unplug it. That SHOULD only kill the ESP.

the esp kill switch on the dash doesn't kill just the ESP? sorry for the question never looked into ESP although I might experiment with my wife's tiguan now... she will not like it, she's very protective

I did figure out that if you unplug a "yaw" sensor it disables the real ESP and the ASR (traction control part of it). Cool thing is that as when you plug it back in the light goes right off. It doesn't store a code or anything. That and when you unplug the ESP switch it doesn't mess anything up. MEANING I'm off to unplug my ESP (leaving it's plug hang) and splice the esp switch into the yaw sensor wiring so when I hit the switch it truly disables everything and not traction control only. The only hiccup I've found is it that the ESP switch is a momentary switch so you have to get another switch that isn't (Like the defrost or I found a foglight switch from an Audi on ebay that fits the same slot). You have to switch faces of the switch and do some minor mod to the tabs. I haven't done it yet but this is what I've figured out and plan and do. Wish me luck

Try to put some values on WSC before coding. I installed skods octavia 2 navigation, it rejected because i have wsc 00000 000 00000. I changed it 12345 123 12345. It is worh of try at least.
