AAT - 2260 build

Hi,
have begun the build on my AAT 2.5 TDI - (2260VK + DSS ultime 2 for now).
for the moment most of the parts are already on the car - photos will follow.
Unfortunately I have a problem finding some ECU wiring diagrams for the ECU swap (from AAT to AJT).
Can someone help me?

Very nice!
Maybe Shadowmaker can give some tips regarding wiring on the T4.
I dont know if Haynes manual shows the ecu-wiring. I can check in the weekend

But why are you using AJT? Shouldn't the AHY be better? It already have vnt turbo.

And please hurry with the pictures and bring lots of them

I can give you a AJT , or AXG ,ACV file ,if you need it. Which numbers do you have in the end of ECU : 018 or 021? Please pm.

021 is the beginning of the code, haven't got the ECU in front of me. Will check later. I am trying to fit the IC now... proving to be very hard...

result is good till now... I have started the engine, works good
some brown\black smoke, but it runs fine.
still have to hook up the new ECU...

I also removed the MAF (the vane thing).

not yet, ecu is still not on, but I will be running mafless.

Q: I have put on a Biltema pump, but it makes a funny claping noise when ignition is turned on and also with the engine running
is that normal like that? has anyone had experience with this? Hope

I have positioned the pump upright and the leakage seems to have stopped. Also the tapping sound is better.

Has anyone some experience with these?

Yes those pumps will make noise especially if there is air present. When the hoses are full the noise gets lower. Be aware that the Biltema pumps I know have all died or started to leak within few months of use. The Facet crap I had in my gold that is the pump the biltema pumps are copies off is still alive. Not the best lift pump but dirt cheap.

I have reached the worst part of the build: replacing ECU's
hope next week I will finally take it out for testing.

I will try to hook up the AJT ECU this week. Anyone who has done ECU swaps before, can give me some advice? Any word is welcomed.

you need the 2 wiring diagrams, lay them next to eachother.. most of the wires are easy as they're clearly on the diagram, but some like the tacho signal can be fustration as on my scheme s-when I did it there was no label so I connected fuel consumption wire to the tacho, which didn't work too well

it seems that the socket I have is from an LT and it does not fit with the T4 ECU... it seems my car will not be ready this week.

it is a 68 pin T4 ecu (I think it is an AJT).
tried to start last night... but IMO has not yet been deleted.
unfortunately there are a lot of wires that do not match... dunno what to expect.

Need Help... car starts but that's all

Hi have started the car with the new ECU and most of the things don't work: A/C, tacho, engine warning lights, very bad idle, brake pedal sensor, dunno if Km/h works.
The good thing is that it idles good above 1000rpm.

well finally have brought the car in a working condition, I have only some cruise control management issues and a brake pedal sensor error (glow plug flashes and it is really annoying).

I hope the remap will come soon cuz it would be about time; also I'd like to have it working for KOE on 2 oct.
Still waiting for the clutch and 12mm pump head.

Also a very annoying thing (beside the glow plug flashing) is a ticking noise that the injection pump is making especially when I am in neutral and the revs are decreasing.

It seems I can't find any 12mm pumpheads for the 5cyl TDI... does anyone know where from can I buy one of those?

still no clutch, no soft... at least I got the 4 bar sensor

so after some bad luck with the truck IC ruber elbows i had (exploded at 2.5bar with a scary bang) and some 2 weeks of driving arround with 0 boost, I finaly throwed in a couple of 4 layer silicone elbows to last.

car is up and running good, tinkered a little with the timing but still can't really set up the boost at a wanted safe and constant figure.
I am also set back by the icy roads and wheelspin...
