A trusted TDI mechanic in Los Angeles?

Greetings, Komrades!

I've recently come into posession of a wonderful 2012 Golf TDI with a manual transmission and 160,000ish on the clock. So far it's been an absolute wonder, and I fully intent to keep it that way for as long as I feasibly can. Which is why I'm trying to find a trustworthy mechanic near me that could help me achieve this goal.

Thing is, I live just north of downtown LA, and it's 2024 out there. And so, every search for ANY mechanic specializing in TDI's has come up empty so far. Which ultimately brings me here.

Are there any reputable TDI shops in or around Los Angeles? I am willing to travel as far south as Dana point and as far north as Chattsworth. Basically a radius of 50-70 miles in any direction.

Big thanks in advance,
-----

Sadly, there don't seem to be any TDI specialists in SoCal. I've had a couple customers use European Auto Hause in Pasadena ((626) 449-2834) but I don't know the scope of their TDI expertise. I've also had customers talk about Auto Excel in San Diego, but again I'm not sure of their diesel expertise.

Thanks all,
I'm familiar with the Mechanics list by state. Though it seems that EF1 is the closest to me. But even then I feel like Diesel isn't their specialty. From their website it seems they mostly focus on high performance european cars with higher octane petrol motors. Of course I haven't called them to ask, so I'm totally reading the book by its cover here. Anyone here have any experience with them?

I have an "retired" VW/Audi Tech that I send my MK6 TDI to for maintenance, happy to share contact if needed.

@jetta_coupe_gtd , I have VCDS and am pretty local in Hawthorne.

Hi Ajlal. If you would be so kind, I would LOVE the contact for your TDI tech in SoCal. My 2012 Golf is displaying a DPF warning light and message upon startup (which then turns off after a few minutes-sometimes) and a CEL for insufficient EGR flow. The car also struggles to stay up to optimum operating coolant temps and is oten way below at high speeds. Its like she has ice in her veins. She wont do any regens and im afraid it will just get worse from here on out. 170K+ miles. But the car drives beautiful and is quick.

"Cracked" is a LOT more likely than "gunked", unfortunately.
When you wipe your finger inside the tailpipe (engine cold), do you have soot on your finger? If so = cracked.
