Does anyone have any experience with A&K Eurowerx in Syracuse? Quoted me $249 for DSG service, wondering if anyone has worked with them. That seems inexpensive - $349 at dealer. They were recomended by my car audio guy.
Thanks in advance.

I, like you, have them on my radar. They are both former dealer guys (Romano, I think). I plan to go there for my next oil change and have them straighten out my wheel liners after I went to a non-Audi/VW shop for my timing belt. They did a great job on the timing belt, but I think they don't see enough VWAG to know the proper assembly of the wheel liners.

LMK if you get there before me (likely).

There is another "european specialist" shop in NS/Cicero--Cantech. I called them for a price a couple years ago and it was really high. They dropped off my radar.

I called Cantech too, really high is an understatement. They are highly rated, but they tend to work on higher end cars than my Passat. I'm coming on the 40 K in the next month or so, and will give Eurowerx a crack at the DSG and LOF. I also need fromt brakes, where Eurowerx is actually a couple hundred higher than the dealer.

Eurowerx posted today on FB about their shop full of timing belts on TBTuesday. (They offer a discount.) Note to self, never schedule a timing belt for a Tuesday... or anything else, for that matter!

With all the salt, I cringe every time I drive my car. The mis-assembled wheel liner has a perfect pocket for salt.

A&K Eurowerx worked out pretty good

Just posting a follow up:
Had LOF, DEF and four new tires installed at A&K. Reasonably priced, nice guys and the work was done correctly. If you are looking for a "pretty" shop, this isn't the place, but they are competant and knowlegable. Its not a TDI specialty shop, they work on lots of Euro makes/models, but they have a good understanding of TDI as they were both VW dealer techs. With the tech shortage at the two dealers in town, I thought you might like to know.

MY daughter used these guys when her window fell into the door panel last winter. Surprisingly the clips didn't break. It just came out of them. They got it fixed and back to her pretty quickly.
