Hey Dave - I think it's intended for one car, but with the idea that some blend doors might have different holes than others, so there would be "extra" plugs.

I don't remember how long Brian said they took to make a full kit - maybe 2-3 hours? He said his costs were something like $1.50-2 for the plastic and he was initially selling them for $39, until he kept lowering them down to $9.99 to try and screw over the Chinese copycats.
Looks to be made from PETG filament. I would make them for cost for folks here plus shipping. Shipping actually would be more than the price of plastic + electricity.

I greatly appreciate and applaud the effort in re-creating these. And if the goal is to pay homage to Brian and keep his memory alive by reproducing his work - I totally get that. 👍

But if it's just to have these available as an option for doing the blend door fix....with a reasonable facsimile being available on eBay for like $10....is it worth all the time and machinations to do this?

macOS is UNIX compliant ;)
And it's a licensed version of UNIX. But I don't like the GUI, and not doing case sensitive files by default is frustrating as hell.

So Brian abhorred those Chinese knockoffs. So much that he reduced his price over $30 a set, just to keep undercutting them. I think he was almost on the threshold of knocking the price down to $5, just to keep undercutting them!

@03TDICommuter - aside from making these at cost/shipping to members, would you be opposed if say we did a github page on these plugs? I presume you could do github for CAD-type stuff to be 3D printed, right?

That's what Brian was telling me. I think he was running four or five 3D printers at once, which was totally his side hustle, since he worked for Nexient full time (his client was Williams Sonoma) and taught at a coding academy at night.

My CAD skills are limited to TinkerCad. I can supply the STL output from that so folks can print their own.

I have Fusion360 I downloaded a few years ago, but my skill level with that is low.

You can dump whatever files on thingiverse, or git hub. Look at blender for converting files. It's free, not super intuitive, but it can import and export a lot of different files types. It's what I usually use to convert cad files to stl or 3mf and make modifications. Usually splitting stuff that's too large to fit on my print bed. I'm not great with cad programs...
Drop a link on here if you do upload the stl, I'd be interested in the stl/cad file.
