\'96 Passat

Just lost my car in an accident but may be able to buy it back salvage. Any ideas on locating a car with a blown engine??? It ran beautiful just prior to and I don't think there was any engine damage. Thanks

Hi Paul,
- I hope that you and passengers if any are OK!
- I am sorry to hear of your Passat though. Did you experience the airbag? I was buckled when mine went off and I got off with just a few scrapes and brush burns, but it smelled awful!
- Do you plan to keep the entire thing for parts or are you thinking of parting it out? Any thoughts on what they would charge you to buy it back?
- Good luck on a quick return to a Passat TDI!

I'm assuming you want one with a blown engine for the purposes of using its front clip or transferring your engine? Can't help you at the moment, but I do have some good links at the office which I will forward to you on Monday.

Please keep us informed as to how you get on with the insurance company. Sadly enough, a few of us have gone through this in the recent past, eh Ben?
