The 1st link in your post is looking that it would flow well, however it’s very much like the 1.6d exhaust manifold and it puts the turbo quite far of the cylinder head. On a longitudinal engine that’s quite far and will definitely hit the chassis rail on passenger side ! I think that building a log manifold out of 42mm stainless steel bends will be your best option, it will let you put the turbo where you want and maybe work for a while ! I would however use the stock AWX manifold ported with adapter plate…works really well- tried myself on my mk2 golf !

I have a 1.6d manifold in my garage from a turbo kit I bought a decade ago, I will take some measurements when i have time/find it in my garage ! I think it’s a lot more compact than the one you linked…
