850 in a cup

Got back late last night from scoring my very own TDI Cup car. 1 of 250 in black with 6sp.

Picked the car up from a gentleman in Maryland that bought it back in 12 it’s in very nice shape for a 15yo car.

Did 850miles in about 13.5 hours with one food stop and one fuel stop. Car averaged 42mpg hand calculated doing 70mph and got me all the way to East Indiana with 565mi on the trip not to bad for stock Dieselgate car.

Enjoyed the fall colors of southern PA seems like a place I would like to go back and explore.

Ok I read about these, simply awesome!! And to find one, nice job. How did you find it btw?

is it still tuned to 168bhp and 368lb-ft? Must be a hoot to drive!!

I found this car on Ebay. The North American spec cars are only 140hp the European cars were 170hp. It will be a true 170 car after this winter and it will also lose some parts.

I’m not planning on track days yet but definitely some Euro shows next year.
