70E6 Recall?

I just came back from the dealer for my 10k miles service. On the Service Report I got back from them it shows that they have also performed three recalls 23J9 (dumpers on fuel lines), 37G2 (DSG upgrade), and 70E6.

It does not explain what 70E6 is. It only shows who did the work.

Any ideas what this is? I searched for it but came up empty.

FYI, It is not a recall but a product update. There are 2 new ones that I know of but not about.

70E6 - updates some headliner clips (maybe this takes care of the buzzing noise?)

68D6 - checks for a missing screw under the dash.

Some clips were not installed properly. Mine had 2 loose when it was in the shop a couple weeks ago.

I took mine in the other day because the cable slipped off track inside the door and would not open from the outside but anyway they were prepared to do a recall on my exhaust tips because they stick out too far and someone could burn their leg.
I told them "Leave my F***ing exhaust alone" if someone is that close to my car, they deserve to get burned!
When I got home I checked the mail and what do you know, I had 2 recall notices for exhaust tips on both cars!

I got the exhaust on too today. Does any one know what the replacement looks like (pics would be nice)?

TIA

Not a great pic - but the tips follow the contour of the rear bumper. They are also staggered a bit.

I liked the old ones too - I know others didn't like how they stuck out, but I thought it grabbed attention.

The new ones I definitely like more. I think they are like the GLI and adds a bit of styling to the tips that follow the line of the car. So, I think it is more subtle yet still offering good looks.

I'm still keeping mine, I think there may actually be an advantage of keeping the old style which would be to help keep soot off the back end of my white gold paint. Some of those older TDI's look to be permanetly stained on the rear bumper around the exhaust.
My old Cummins Dodge's if I didn't get some type of a turn down it would have soot all over the right rear quarter panel

The older TDIs didn't have DPFs and what not to cut down the soot.

These newer CR diesels don't smoke.

Also, I don't think the tips sticking out an inch or two would stop soot (even if our cars did smoke) from getting on the bumper - too much negative pressure. But that isn't something we should be concerned about - now, if your car was smoking I would talk to the service department.

(I am only referring to stock CR cars that have all federally mandated emission equipment still intact.)

I moved the tips myself, but my gf's car was done by our dealer. I'm not sure if I'm reading wrong, but the dealers aren't "replacing / removing" the tips...they are just moving in the existing ones.

In fact, I actually like the way they look now that they're pushed in. I thought, aesthetically, they looked bad sticking out.

IIRC, the recall notice that was sent out is that they are replacing - part number on my work order is different than the part number the vehicle orginally came with.

Ok. I could be wrong then. Thought my dealer said they just pushed it back...could have replaced I suppose. Going to do a side-by-side comparison tonight, and check part #.

Ryan,
We replaced the tips on your girlfriends car. We will replace yours on your next trip up.

Went in to my dealer today to have the tips replaced. After they took the car back and spent about 10 minutes with it the tech came out and said they didnt have any tips left. Supposedly VW of American only allows each dealer 3 sets per week. W.T.F, how does this make any sense???? With all of the vehicles out there why would they limit the dealers?
