5 Speed Manual Transmission replacement

2006 Jetta TDI 300,000 + miles
Will a gasser trans fit? If so how long will it last if I go easy on it? I only need for about 10,000 miles.

Wrong gear ratios. Not sure if it will drop in fit.

No issues on lasting. But yeah, ratios to low for diesel torque.

It should drop in. But, as above, way wrong way wrong ratios. You should be able to use the case and differential with your internals assuming there's no gear damage. That is if you want to get into rebuilding a transmission as long as you're in there put in stronger differential bolts or an lsd
