Runs great! will be doing its 10k service tomorrow, but I see hitting a pot hole in the next few days...
Original DPF? You're giving me a lot of hope for my car, I mean the environnement. Good job!

I had the original DPF filter replaced during the emission recall a few yrs ago and it was bad at that time. The current DPF just recently crack and throwing CEL and soot in the tail pipe, so I figure now is the time for hitting a pot hole.. Looking at Darkside...

Sold my 06 BRM with 320k miles on it back in August for $5k. They guy that I sold it to texted me to tell me that it still goes strong at 325K miles.

That's cute.

My 2010 has 316k. But I bought it that way. It's on turbo #2, DPF #3, deNOx cat #3, intake #2, M-unit #2.

Seriously, though, congrats on the milestone! Let's hope it gets many, many more! :)

That’s amazing. Mileage. I thought having 204,000 miles I was going well. Mines is just a baby in comparison.
I am curious though in terms of camshaft wear if any , has this been an issue? And what oil change intervals do you do?
I currently run 5k oil and filter changes as I want the engine to run for many more miles trouble free. But I have read the pd105 engines can suffer from camshaft wear but not Shute if this is down to poor maintenance or wrong oil used. Any thoughts on this matter. Oh my engine is a bls mk5 golf and have a BXE in mk5 golf also. But the BXE is only on 165,000 miles so a baby really.

The correct oil helps, but due to the design, it will eventually fail.

Yeah, eventually... but it doesn't mean it cannot live a decent long life. Longer than a lot of people would keep a car anyway.

I have a customer with a 2004 Jetta whose engine, camshaft and all, have outlived the engines in all three of his previous cars (Subarus) combined. He whines every single time it needs a timing belt job, but I remind him it doesn't need an engine.
