My 02 has 360k miles. I know of many that have a lot more though. Yours is still young

I have a couple of TDIs at the 340,000 mark. The amazing thing is one is an automatic and it still shifts great after a valve body rebuild from Coolair many years ago. My wife's TDI BEW purchased with 15,000, is around 210,000 with nothing touched but the timing belt, pump and an alternator pulley. I have watched co-workers other unnamed brand cars come and go over the years. They were brand new when they got them. They rotted out. They broke down. They had so many problems they gave up on them and on top of it all I run in the high 40's mpg. Nothing else out there can compete.

I am at 272,0000 mileages on my 2010 Jetta, and it is amazing how well it held so far. No performance or fuel economy deterioration after that many miles, and it's one of the best vehicle I have owned.

Good job, I have two that I work on that are around 450,000 miles. One looks about as good as any 03 could every hope to look. The other one is 1999.5 and it looks like it's been to hell and back but still works like a champ.

Just turned 380k this past weekend. Just put a ported head and stage 2 cam on it just over 20 k ago due to a timing belt tensioner letting go. Nothing actually was damaged, and I ran the questionable head for 12k afterwards, just replaced the belt and all rollers/ water pump and ran until I got my other head rebuilt by Frank. Luckily the tensioner noise alereted me as soon as I pulled out of my driveway.

My '04 Jetta (BEW) has 422,000 on it and still looks like a fairly new car!! Now that we're retired, it doesn't commute 150 miles a day anymore!!

I only have about 245k on my 2001. It’s gone through a lot of changes over the years... started out as an auto with silver cloth mouse fur interior with the boring cluster!

I turned over 300,000 miles on Wednesday. Now I have to get the timing belt, etc. changed in the next few days. Since I have to go to Las Vegas for it, it will be a full day or longer. Not sure what I will do since Las Vegas bores me. Maybe a hike down Goldstrike Canyon before they close it for the summer.

Although I did not put the miles on it, I bought a NB with 380,000ish, now about to hit 390,000, and it out runs all my others and I clocked an average of 48mpg which also beats my others. Perhaps it is "just" getting broken in...
