I've had this 3 position switch in my 96 Passat for a couple weeks then I bought the 3 position switch with the single fog pull, and I no longer need this switch.
It does have a minor crack at the bottom edge, but looks okay and works perfectly! See the pic below.
This is the switch you need for 96 and 97 Passats to be able to turn your headlights and parking lights completely off.
Looking for about $30, or best REASONABLE offer!
