Robert T. and I will be there. Sorry for the late confirmation. Too busy on the farm these days to keep up with everything. Will bring snacks, Ext cord(s), 10x10 canopy, chairs, eggs for barter/gifts, vag-com, and a crusty old 2000 Golf. See you tomorrow!:D
I'll see ya pardner, with my crusty-er Wisconsin 2000 Golf.

Bringing MK4 parts to sell/swap-stock Garrett turbo core, Jetta right fender, MK2 tech manual. Looking for a set of 520 injector nozzles. PM me for whatever.

I think Andrew, the Malone Tuner, will have 520s if you PM him. That's where I got mine.

I MIGHT win a crusty contest. I was foolish enough to buy this car from New Hampshire and have since used it to deliver farm goods far and wide. I once had ideas of having a pretty car. Those dreams are long gone.

I may be leaking oil from my turbo, so the turbo core is of some interest. Not sure what else I'd be interested in right now. Been too busy to give it a thorough thunk.

I’m planning on making it to the GTG tomorrow, driving the wife’s Beetle. A few days ago we had 10” of snow but right now the roads are clear. I will bring a NB starter that works but is a bit slow in cold weather but it may be useful for show and tell. Rebuilt the original and swapped it in. Works good but still has occasional after start buzz.
I never did get round to putting bigger starter cables on but changing the alternator, replacing thermostat and blend door work took my energy.
Looking forward to seeing everybody again. Leaving at 0 dark 00, hope to be there by 10.

Heard from Jeff Robertson of Rocketchip tuning. He will not be able to make it down for the GTG.

He was greatly affected by the blizzard last week, and was still digging out on Wednesday morning. He has customers cars that have already been delayed by the storm; he could not put them off the additional 3 or 4 days in order to come here.

He always adds a lot to any GTG, we will miss him.

Hey I work with a guy that lives in Chapin who has a B6 TDI Passat and his turbo is gone. Does anyone have a turbo he could buy? He is going to try to make out after he gets off work.

So the Mercedes is loaded ready for the morning trip. Does anyone have a serp belt tensioner for a PD engine? A roller too if you have one. It's a 2006 Beetle BEW specifically.

I'm bringing:
VCDS Hex cable and a netbook to run it
Snap On Solus Pro, in case anyone with a non-VW has a CEL
AC vac pump and gages in case someone needs repairs
Disposable gloves, paper towels, and hand cleaner
My gatorade diesel purge bottle.
Electrical tool box for solder and wiring repairs.
Several boxes of misc nuts and bolts.

I have the following to donate to the cause:
An A4 AC compressor, good for core
CDR swirl flap motor
A Motive bleeder set up than needs new hose. Has VW/Mercedes/Porsche cap.

Apparently the Beetle fans went to the trash heap in the sky.

Excited but still need to pack. I am ready for a load of the bioDiesel Joe! Terry has us leaving at 3 AM and we will be at your house before 5 AM. Terry wants to be the first one on the lift. We'll feed the chickens.

Just kidding!!! But I think that's really Terry's dream. Be there after 9.

Does anyone have a 1/8" NPT tap? I will need it for my "special project."

Happy wife = happy life. For all those attending please drive and wrench with safety in mind. Hopefully some pictures will show up on here. Not the same as being there but I know you all will have fun.

Thank goodness I just saw this. Im heading up this morning. Perhaps someone will be able to help me identify the location of a small coolant leak. Look forward to seeing folks and learning.

thank you so much Dan for opening your home to us.
Enjoyable GTG as always
Good to see the TDI folks and as usual I leave feeling that I soaked in more knowledge than I was able to share with others.

Thanks to Daniel, Landon for your help...all good:)

Thanks to all who came, special thanks to all that helped others with minor tasks - or major.

We had about 35 cars at one point. Fed about 50 people for lunch, about a dozen for supper. The weather was gorgeous - 32 at dawn, bright sun all day, not windy, and about 65 for a high.

Our show and tell for starters never got off the ground. We waited too late. Piper109 and GCBBUG00 left after lunch with their starters. So jimbote and I were forced to just cruise around visiting, not working.

Bruce (Paramedick) - a special thanks to you for coming all the way down here to help out.
Landon and Daniel from Appalachian Diesel Works helped a lot of folks yesterday.
Pete, the worlds greatest VW Shop foreman, you always add a special dimension.
Jimbote and Jenna, it was great to see you again.
Richard55, thanks for going through the pain of 6 hours driving with that new ankle. Hope you continue to improve.
Andrew and Angela from AARodriquez, many people enjoyed their "new cars". It was good to see you again.
TerryTDI with his show car and help for all who ask, we need to see more of you. Charleston is lucky to have you helping out all the TDI owners.

Rawmnivore and Robert, get we me to schedule your own special work day.

I am sure I forgot to mention too many nice folks, but it is time for a nap.

I hope all had a good time, and hope to see you and your friends again next year, the week before the superbowl. Go ahead and put it on your calendars.

I am glad some people were taking pictures. Not sure why but I completely forgot about pulling the old phone out and snapping some. At least I can see my car as I was pulling in on that last shot, lol.
