others have tossed teflon tape on the threads to help seal that plug.
I did try oil extracting and verified that you get 99% through the dipstick with only a few drops remaining after pulling the plug.
Next oil change i'll be extracting from the top, not touching the drain plug, but will still have to go under for the oil filter.
