Just use the required oil specified in the VW oil spec. Really not a difference that you would notice between any of them.

The VW oil specification for a US market 2015 diesel Golf is VW 507 00.
Any oil that specifically states "meets or exceeds", or states "is approved to" that 507 00 specification is what I'd use.

If the oil manufacturer states their product "is recommended for"... ,that is NOT a VW confirmation that the oil has passed a VW test standard and I don't chance it.
If the oil manufacturer states "tested to ...." the 507 00 standard that does NOT mean that it successfully passed the testing and I don't use it.

If you need a surgeon I recommend my cousin. He took the medical exam test.
He failed miserably, but he tested to it.

No where on the car posts any info about the oil, in the manual what weight, brand Nothing, also the anti-freeze nothing about that, transmission nothing about. Now I have to deal with some chip monk in the engine compartment with heat shield chewed, under the windshield wiper cover ( black plastic shield) not sure how to take that off.

All the info is in the glove box and/or commonly available online.
I will caution you if this is your first diesel it's not the typical brands or typical products you have on hand....
The oils that are used are actually pretty hard to find .. typically there might be ONE oil available from the entire rack in a store, typically Mobil 1 ESP, but many people choose to European brands of oils...they have more diesel cars, so more options. The situation is different if the emissions system has been deleted or it's an older engine.
Coolant is sorta similar too...it's a diesel thing, additives are different because the needs are different
The transmission fluid (if a DSG) is also non-standard, but is available in one or two copies of the VW product. You won't need it, cause the procedure to add it and do a tranny fluid change is more in-depth than simply checking a dipstick.
Welcome to German cars....it's not a Ford or Chevy...they don't use standard fluids

I did not find anything in the glove box except for the owner's manual, nothing mentioned about the brand, specs, weight, this is not my first diesel, I own a 06 Mercedes E320CDI, all the info for the Mercedes is available in the owner's manual, there are a few oil brands / weights that meet the specs for the CDI and the oil is easy to get. The newly required anti-freeze is off the shelf, the transmission oil is also easy to get and easy to change(automatic), also the anti-freeze what is recommended. Thank you

Do you have the correct manual for the 2015 Golf? My 2015 Golf Sportwagen owner's manual has the oil information on several pages starting on page 310.
VW's "507 00" specification covers assorted viscosities. YOU choose which brand of 507.00 compliant oil you prefer. YOU choose which viscosity of some 507.00 compliant oil suits your climate. If an oil is certified by VW approval to the 507 00 standard that oil has suitable specifications.

There are just too many to list....
There should be a sticker right under the hood, near the hood latch, that has the oil spec listed.

Here's one from a 2014 Passat TDI in the shop now:

And here's one from a 2015 GTI parked right next to it:
