My car will be deleted and tuned by the 15th. As soon as it's done I'll make a new thread

I'm currently testing the delete tune, it still needs work and testing time to make sure there are no adblue delete issues. They don't always show their issues for awhile.

I just need the tune and block off plates going to build the turbo back my self.
Nice, I hope you're a good welder. Don't cheap out and use 409 SS unless you don't mind building another one a few years down the road.

I only use food grade 304ss all tig welded and back purged. good quality 409ss won't have any issues lasting the life of the car. Like buzzken said you probably got some cheap Chinese crap loaded with impurities.

Just an update, long term delete testing has had some software setbacks. Mark is working on it, I'll update when we make progress.

It takes longer to test on a track....

Could you post up the dyno of the Stage I tune?

I did not personally dyno that tune and quite honestly, it will be .05% of tune sales. I see no reason to go with a stage 1 tune over a stage 2, stage 2 it still perfectly within the safe limits of the car and has no disadvantages.

My car has been at GDM for about a week and a half now. They are wrapping up on the tuning end. The full exhaust is complete.

Hey Buzzken, are you guys still having issues with the deletes? I don't know about you guys but we are just waiting to hear back from mark with the deleted tune.

I can't wait to get her back. Should be some day this week hopefully.

The tune has hiccups, it left here with another test tune yesterday, which from first observation did not do what it was supposed to. Will see in a few weeks if more issues come up. A new delete tune cannot be developed and tested overnight or in a few days. The hardware is the easy part, my kits will be available when I feel the tuning is ready for release.

GDM (formerly known as dieseldubs) is a Malone dealer if I'm not mistaken. The stage 2 has been out for quite some time now.

The car that is their beta tester belongs to me. It runs a stage 2 with deletes but has a check engine light. They are still working with Malone to get the codes gone. It's been in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks I hope it doesn't make 3...
Every time a new version is sent from Malone they test it and get more codes. First it was missing ad blue now it's an egr related code. I hope to get it back this week so I can go to the car meets again.

If you just want the stage 1 or 2 tune then it's available but the deleted version is a work in progress. Shouldn't be to much longer.

I must say, as a tuner, it's nice having a car actually in my possession for development purposes. When we officially release ours it will be fully vetted by me personally over many miles.

The 2015 definitely ecu have some unique plot twists to them.

If I go Stage 2 with my 2015 GSW, why would I consider any deletes? Would I only need to consider the emissions deletes if I was running it hard often?

I've noticed my MK7 TDI doesn't regen nearly as much as my MK6 did running the same driving patters.

The deletes are 100% optional. It just helps the engine breathe easier. It also helps with longevity. Eventually the dpf will fail and need replacing. It's quite a hefty price tag for a replacement as well. Dpf delete also will give a slight gain in fuel economy due to no more regeneration cycles.

Thanks. I'll probably leave the DPF alone. Then later on when it goes, I'll do the delete and down pipe then

If I get a tune I'm leaving the DPF alone. The new cars have a selective catalytic reduction system for emissions. Its a lot cleaner then the old EGR type. I put 171k on the old type (09) without a DPF problem.
