Did you then transfer that coding to the control unit? The long coding helper only calculates the code to put into the section for coding. If you didn't do that then it wont program it. I just did the same on my Q7 one min ago. You go to the long coding, uncheck the bit 10 brake wear warning, then you you copy the coding above that and paste it into the line for new coding and click "do it!" and then it will code it. I also did the gear signal display on the TCM on mine so I can see which gear its in.

Did you copy the code from the long coding helper and then paste it on the coding page and then click do it? Then did it give you the message "coding accepted"?

Incase you wanted an update the shop diagnosed they are "90% sure" that its the harness that corroded to it 7L0971279F and I'd need to replace that whole thing. What do you think?

If it were the harness, coding it off in the cluster should still turn it off.

So I am back to square one? Is it possible its another sensor attached to that harness? Seems like the speed sensor is there and another I am unaware of

I still suspect that for some reason the coding isn't taking. What is the current coding on yours and then I can calculate the options which are selected.

I will check in the next hour here. Also looking at the wiring diagram would not looping just the front left brake wear sensor remove that light? As it's the start of the circuit for the brake wear sensors.

Also here is an image of the diagram. Supposedly just the rear right harness is pooched they said so if I were to do a closed circuit plug on the front left would that just solve the issue?

Well I tried doing a makeshift close circuit plug on the front left. Still didn't work so I am absolutely screwed I believe.
If you looped it and its still not working, and the coding is applied as you said, then it should be gone. Regardless if the harness is crappy, you coding it out of the system, it should go away. Because the car should think that it doesnt have that feature. I agree with mozambiquer, I feel like the coding isnt talking/applying correctly.

Okay well here is the final update! So regardless of this damn code taking or not taking sadly (obviously seems like it is in fact not taking) I looped each wheel last night to no avail. BUT I then cut every harness just before the brake wear connectors and looped them there instead! and low and behold it went away when I finally finished on the rear right side. Both rear side harnesses were in absolute shambles the rear left more so as when I touched that harness connector it had actually completely crumbled the wires on the back side. So I just passed inspection this morning and can finally plate my car! No more future inspections thank God for living in hick provinces haha. Thank you again for your help if you are curious to ever figure out why it didn't take the code I am willing to be your guinea pig but until that point it is solved for now wires are stripped, wound together, soldered, and covered with heat shrink hopefully forever.
