Hi,
Firstly many thanks for allowing me to join TDICLUB. having read some of the post, there is many knowledgeable people here.

My 2014 VW Golf TDi has recently popped-up x2 warning lights on the display module.
1. Airbag
2. Start Stop Brake error.

A guy in work, plugging in his ODB11 reader and it read the following errors
1. U112100 Brake Unit Data Bus Missing
2. U112300 Data Bus Error.

Took it to a local garage and they also plugged in their ODB11 reader and informed my that the errors require the attention of VW Dealership.

Before heading down to the local VW Dealership (with a pocketful of cash), I was wondering if their is anyone who can kindly assist.

Car has not be modified in anyway, 70k, majority motorway daily-drive. Regularly serviced etc
Please feel feel to ask my any additional questions if required.

Thanks in advance.

Rgs,

You don’t have to take the car to a VW dealership to gain access to the VW-specific diagnostic codes. Any independent garage that is halfway serious about servicing VW/Audi group cars (meaning, to a greater extent than just oil changes etc.) will have the necessary scan tool. It’s also not uncommon for VW enthusiasts to own one - the pinned “VCDS VAG-COM locator” thread in this forum refers to the VCDS tool sold by ross-tech.com (for use with a laptop computer. obdeleven.com sell a version that uses a Bluetooth dongle and your cellphone.
