I have to change the rear brakes and rotors on my 2014 vw beetle tdi. is there any special tools I need to do so? If so what size and star heads or allen head or? Also I've read that the piston in the brake caliper needs to be turned as I push it in, is that true? Thank you in advance for the help

Here’s a video on a TDI beetle:

He removes 2 13 mm bolts (looks like he has the socket and a wrench), according to the video he is turning the piston as he pushes it into the caliper. I’ve never done rear brakes (original on a 2005 beetle at 164k, 13 beetle at 96k and 14 passat at 93k).
