2014 OZ Cruze CTD & 2010 JSW 6MT & 2017 GMC Canyon CCLB ATX 2.8 Duramax
My 2014 Cruze CTD project car. I got this from a co-worker, it was his wifes car and had 50K milles. It is in good condition, not perfect but it was cheap for a project car at only $8 grand.

These 1st gen Cruze CTDs were different than the other Cruze models and are totally underrated. It has a German Made Opel MultiJet II engine, Aisin Transmission and Suspension/Brakes/Drivetrain parts from Buick and Cadilac. It's basically an Opel Astra 2.0 Sedan with a Chevrolet Body.

Mods:
  1. OZ CRZRACE Tuned. Top Speed limiter Removed and Calibrated for 225/50R18 tires
  2. OZ Tuner Downpipe
  3. Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit
  4. American Racing 18" Wheels
  5. Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ W rated 225/50R18 tires
  6. Whiteline Rear Sway Bar
  7. Whiteline Front Control Arm Bushings
  8. All plastic Suspension mounts were replaced with upgraded steel parts from Mevotech
  9. Mevotech Front Camber Bolts allow -1.5 deg camber on all four corners
  10. New strut mounts, TTY Bolts, Z-Link and Sway Bar polyurethane bushings
  11. New Timing Belt, Tensioners, Idlers and Water Pump

The OZ tune is good for 180 WHP. The stock turbo is good for another 20-30 HP with custom made injectors.

As tuned, this car is the king of Freeway MPGs. With the stock 17" wheels and V-rated 215/55R17 tires I could get 58 MPGs @ 65 mph. High speed fuel economy is 38-40 MPGs @ 90 mph. The 18" wheels and sticky tires knocked down the fuel economy by about 10%. I think if you put a set of light Enkei 16" wheels and V-Rated LRR tires you could get 60-65 MPGs @ 65 mph in this setup. My 2003, 2009 and 2010 TDIs were all MTs and couldn't come close to this fuel economy.

I have been looking at the new style Cruze hatch. You can get that one with a manual. But man this is seriously impressive...
