Got the car home tonight after going out to dinner and parked in the garage. The fan is running for 5 minutes after we stop th car. In 11 Degree weather?

Is that Normal?? Don't remember that before

Mines at 31k and just went last week. 3-4 weeks before the part is in.

Our cars are extremely low emissions. One of the ways they accomplish that is by trapping exhaust soot and burning it. Most of the time u wont notice it as it does it when you drive (under right conditions), but sometimes it burns it when car is parked - thus the noise.

So what you heard is completely benign, is to be expected and has nothing to do with the heater core
