2014 passat clock sprink

Hello, wonder if any could help me with this. I installed a new clock sping in the wife's 2014 passat and wondering how to get the ecu to communicate with the new clock sping.

just a FYI they covered the clock spring in a warranty extension last month on 2012-2014 models. They gave me my $500 bucks back!

Yah i contacted VW the car is over the mileage for VW to repace it.
