Horrible Bluetooth quality when talking on phone. The other person says they only hear every other word and can hear lots of outside noise. Anybody experiencing this issue? Car at dealership again for the 4th time. Mic was replaced last time but same issue.

Hehe... yeah, every time I get someone talking on a phone like that I tell them to call me back when they have a better connection.
I prefer to drive when I am in the car, and stop to talk on the phone myself, though.
But anyways, try pairing your phone to another BT Jetta and see if it is the same. At Lexus, when we did that, it almost always was identical. So what you are experiencing may be normal.

My car interior is pretty quiet even at 70 MPH. I've yet to have someone complain about a similar issue.

You use your cell phone to talk to people? I thought most people used a cell phone to text, look up stuff on the internet and play games. Just kidding of course, but you might note that none of the ratings of cell phone include call quality or dropped calls.

Yeah, no joke. My iPhone 4S isn't all that impressive where call quality/clarity are concerned.

My wife got an iPhone 5 and it is awful. I refuse to talk to her when she calls me on that useless piece of crap. I'll stick with my old steam-powered LG

Yeah...my two year contract is up in March. I'm toying with the idea of just paying cash for a traditional flip phone like a Casio GZOne (I had good luck with two of those back in the day).My wife got an iPhone 5 and it is awful. I'm in super cheapskate mode. The thought of spending $50/month for a data package that gets used rarely is getting old (though I do enjoy the map feature). $50....that's more than my water/sewer and cable (internet only) bills combined.

Or just get off the overpriced postpaid plans and get into a prepaid plan. I have an iPhone 5 and pay $30 a month for 1200min, 3000text (never use since it's all iMessage) and 500MB of data. Or go up to $55 and do unlimited talk and text with 2.5GB of data...
As for call quality, very strange the iphone is having issues, never had one issue and I've had them since the first day.

I've never known anyone that had one that didn't sound bad or drop calls . . . Famous for butt-dials too.

I gave up my Iphone forever when I was with a client in NYC and could not make a call and my client handed me his Blackberry and said "use this, it works"......

What company do you use? It would be nice if I could take my phone to another carrier, but I'm assuming that's not possible (Verizon iPhone).
Compared to my 2012, my wife tells me that the sound quality in my 2013 is much better when I talk to her. It might be that the softer dash has a part to play here. I say this because when my wife calls me in her Forester - with all the hard plastics and crazy cabin noise - it is absolutely horrible!

If my wife called me while driving, I'd tell her to hang up and drive. She knows better.
