2013 sportwagen white smoke and ECM light flashing

Hey guys this is my first post here but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this. I was driving down the highway and the ECM light came on flashing then my sportwagen started billowing white smoke for about 20 seconds then it went away. The motor seemed to stumble slightly but after that it felt normal but the light stayed on and flashing. After getting home and leaving the car off for a little while I started it again and the light is off and it seems to be running normal if anyone has any idea as to what would cause this I would greatly appreciate the help.

White smoke is usually anti freeze so check your coolant level. Could be the EGR cooler but that's pretty rare. I might have guessed head gasket but those don't solve themselves.
My gut says this will happen again. Have someone read the codes and that might give you more direction (even if no light is on there should be readings(

It can also be fuel from a leaky injector, or oil from a blown turbo, getting very-well filtered by the emissions system and turned into white smoke.
